Dr. Qasim Abbas

Dr. Qasim Abbas is a Specialist Gastroenterologist who graduated from Baghdad University -Iraq, He completed his Specialization in Gastroenterology at the Teaching Hospital in Baghdad Medical city in 2010, he is a Fellow of the Arab Board in Internal medicine and Iraqi Board in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His main areas of expertise are in advanced interventional endoscopy including ERCP and EUS.
He has very good experience in the management of pancreatobiliary diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases and various gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases.
He has many publications in various medical journals
- MBCHB from Baghdad University 1998.
- CABM in Internal Medicine from Damascus 2006.
- FIBMS from Baghdad 2010.
- MRCP (Gastro.) from Muscat 2015.
- Iraqi Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Qasim has four years of experience as Specialist and acting Consultant in gastroenterology with wide experience in clinical gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy and academic activity. He was supervising and training residents during their fellowship program of the Arabic and Iraqi Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Teaching hospital of Gastroenterology in Medical city, Baghdad.
Five years of experience in clinical gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy and academic activities in the Royal Hospital, Muscat, Oman. He was supervising and training residents during their rotation in gastroenterology as part of training program for general medicine.
He underwent extensive training programs in well reputable institutes in India, France, Italy. He is active participant in international conferences and workshops.
In 2020 he started his practice in Dubai – UAE.
He has very good experience in treating all kinds of Gastrointestinal and Hepatological diseases with special interest in treating pancreatobiliary diseases.
He is well experienced in advanced interventional endoscopy like endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and endoscopic ultrasonography.
