Beginning at birth and continuing through infancy and childhood through adolescence, we provide a comprehensive and coordinated care. We are personalized and patient centered health care. Each birth is considered unique and a special event deserving individual attention and flexibility. Our Newborn nursery is meant for that. Family members are welcome to share in birthing experience.
Our Neonatal intensive care unit is fully equipped with latest Puriton Bennet ventilators, Monitors, Open care systems, Biliblankets etc to care and support sick and pre-term babies.
The Pediatric intensive care unit is also equipped with most modern facilities to provide up to date care. We have neonatal and pediatric transport team to transport a newborn or seriously ill child to NICU or PICU. The In-patient facility has provision for play area to make children feel at home. It is child friendly and family centered.
In our 24 hour Emergency section, the services of Paediatrician are available. Backed by services of super specialists like Neurologists, Surgeons, Cardiologists, Gastroenterologist, Endocrinologist etc and with state of art Laboratory and Radiology services, your children are assured of best care unlike from a polyclinic or an ordinary hospital. Well-equipped Rehabilitation department including Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and Speech therapy caters to the needs of children with delayed milestones and paralysis.

The center is equipped with the latest technology to support our experienced paediatricians in their regular and complex exams. Very modern lab and radiology departments are equipped to provide paediatricians with required equipment to assist in diagnosis.
The center is freshly decorated to provide the best ambience for your child. It consists of a very wide colorful space, generous play area and toys to make your child’s visit pleasant and stress free.
The Neonatal Unit is covered with 3 Specialists who attend to deliveries day and night assisted by 3 GP Doctors. The nursery is equipped and is run by well-trained staff nurses in neonatology. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is equipped with 12 incubators, and 6 ventilators two of which are high frequency.
INTENSIVE CARE: For the most seriously ill babies.
HIGH DEPENDANCY CARE: For babies who are not critically ill but still need complex care.
SPECIAL CARE: For babies who are catching up on growth and development after a premature birth, or those who are getting better after more complex treatment.
NICU in Canadian Specialist Hospital comprises of 12 latest incubators for premature and sick babies and two transport incubators in case any patient needs to be transferred from or to Canadian Specialist Hospital from any other hospital.
NICU is equipped with six ventilators for sick babies needing ventilatory support.In addition to ventilators and incubators, the NICU has all the needed accessories like NEOPUFF (Cosy-Cot) resuscitares, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, apnoea alarms, suction machines, phototherapy units, blood gas machines, bili-check apparatus, hearing screening equipment and laboratory facilities.
We are in the process of recruiting new staff for our NICU. We would be having 19 trained NICU Staff Nurses, three NICU Doctors, and three Paediatricians supporting the team.
Our NICU team is competently led by Dr. Shoaib Shahzad Khan who has an extensive experience of over twenty years in NICU, Al Wasl Hospital, and over six years of NICU experience in Pakistan.
