The Ophthalmology department offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services for routine eye check up and eye ailments. Staffed by experienced ophthalmic surgeons, the department is equipped with state of the art equipment, which helps in providing excellent eye care to the patients. It provides a full range of services ranging from routine vision care, laser treatment to eye surgeries.

Surgical procedures for cataract, glaucoma and squint correction are routinely performed. The technique of Phacoemulsification and foldable Intra ocular lens are also available.

Patients with retinal diseases can get treatment for most of the retinal disorders, as the department is equipped with Spectral domain OCT machine, Fundus camera, Ultrasound A/B scan, etc. Procedures like Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Indocyanine green angiography, O.C.T. (Optical Coherence Tomography), Argon laser photocoagulation, Intravitreal injections for conditions like Diabetic retinopathy, Retinal vascular occlusions, Age related macular degeneration etc are routinely performed.

The department also provides comprehensive care for all kinds of Glaucoma patients including gonioscopy, automated Perimetry and Spectral domain OCT scanning. Facilities for surgeries for glaucoma patients are also available.

Common industrial accidents like foreign body in the eye, burns and other trauma are promptly attended to any time.
